Organic whole millet flour, freshly milled to order on our in-store stone mill. 3lb paper bag. The Millet is Proso variety and grown in the USA.
We will mill the flour the same day it is shipped. Must be ordered by Monday for same-week shipping.
Millet goes 'off' quickly (weird flavor you cannot mask, and very common in packaged millet flour, essentially a little spoiled). It is best used within 7 days from milling if kept at room temperature, otherwise upto a month in refrigerator, and 6 months in freezer (all in air-tight containers). Upon receiving it, you should pack it in air-tight containers and refrigerate or freeze. I recommend freezing.
From our supplier, Azure: "Organically grown. Often used as baby food, this mild, digestible grain is often used by people on wheat free diets. It is creamy in color, round and small - about one third the size of a peppercorn. It is a complete protein and rich in lecithin & calcium. High in fiber. Hulls have been removed."
